Wilhelm Foundation represents People Living With Undiagnosed Diseases (PLWUD) in the World Economic Forum's Rare Diseases group, where patient organisations, governments, industry and researchers work together to bring undiagnosed conditions onto the global health agenda.

We are proud and honored to carry the voices of the undiagnosed into this work. The Forum's 2026 white paper Making Rare Diseases Count recognises the Undiagnosed Hackathons, founded and led by Wilhelm Foundation, as an example of cross-disciplinary teams tackling cases that remain unsolved even with the most advanced technologies today — and points to the estimated 350 million people worldwide living with undiagnosed conditions.

Diagnosis changes everything. Together, we make the invisible visible.
